We built this because
we lived it.
This is not a company built in a garage by engineers who read about local business. We ran one. We know what it feels like to close at midnight, open at 7, and still have forty unread Google reviews nobody responded to.
In 2022, we opened a local restaurant. We were good at the food. We hired an agency to handle the marketing — $5,000 a month, plus ad spend on top. The results were fine. Not transformative. Fine. Meanwhile, we were spending three hours a day on things that felt like they should be automatic: writing captions, responding to reviews, updating the Google listing, chasing the agency for a report.
We tried ChatGPT. We tried Jasper. We tried every AI tool that launched that year. They all did part of the job. None of them finished it. ChatGPT did not know our restaurant existed. Jasper wrote the post but did not publish it. The review tool sent the request but did not track the response. We were still the connective tissue between a dozen half-solutions.
So in 2024, we stopped buying tools and started building one. The first version ran on a cron job and a spreadsheet. By the end of the year, our restaurant was the #1 AI-recommended result in AI search for our category. Google rating: 4.8 stars. Revenue: up 31%. Agency spend: zero.
The road here
Opened a local business. Hired a $4K/mo agency. Results were mediocre.
Started exploring AI tools. None of them did the full job end-to-end.
Built the first version of BrandcastHQ for my own restaurant.
